Tremors rocks Ahmedabad
Last night I was working on my marketing assignment, when one of my friend called up to inform me abt the Varanasi blasts. We were just pondering over the same when i suddenly felt earth shaking and bed vibrating. i was just wondering wht was goin on. Suddenly gals from their dorm, of which i hv a real gud view from my balcony, started to gather. aur mein sochne laga ki pata nahin kiski shamat aayi hai aaj. Then suddenly shouts of earthquake wailed the atmosphere. Some of the moments which i saw here- A frnd in dorm who just went in the bathroom kept shouting 'Guys, plzzz wait fr 2 mins. i m just coming'.... dont really know wht he exactly meant :p
- For some guys it was totally a new experience. So they kept sitting on their bed, waiting for some more tremors to shake their bed
- An 105 Kg guy reported tht he was floating in an air for a while... he says tht he does not remember last time when he was in air... even on his BDay guys struggled to lift him to give him bumps... In fact we told him to stand in front of a wall so tht we cud kick his rear tht time after failing in arranging more than 10 people to lift him
- Then there were guys like me who kept listening to winamp as if nothing had happened. Bcoz i believe
"If God has sent everyone in this world to accomplish something, I'm so far behind that I'll never die!! ". just kiddin.... but i still believe tht i m too young to fix an appointment with God rite now

In a gals hostel near the campus
- 50 gals made their way out of the hostel wailing and screaming on top of their head. The stampade occured and around 3-4 got their legs fractured. apparently earthquake did take its toll indirectly.
- There were more boys near the gals hostel gate trying to 'help' the girls than actually the number of gals present
- Media people just got some more masala to continue the gossip mills running. Aaj Tak reported tht Ahmhedabadis spent their night on roads, i still wonder from which part of Ahmedabad they were reporting, as most of Ahmedabadi's were back to sleep in next half an hour
Tuchhas placements are going to start from today. These guys hv suffered a lot of pain n tribulations for last 2 years waiting for this moment. n this is one of those defining moments of their lives. All The Best to them from our ( fachhas) side. Placecom members hv been really busy sorting out all modalities n putting all necessary logistics n other requirements in place. n we wud be there to help in every possible ways like providing snacks, pizzas, acting as a PR for the companies n doing all kind of donkey's job. A lot of big companies have made a mad scramble for this place today. n next few days r going to be really hectic. Hope we again hv a rawking placement again n surpass the benchmarks we set fr ourselves last year.

Are Amit y didnt u too go to help the girls? This was a gud oppurtunity u missed.
I got a job yesterday frm the campus. So pretty excited abt it. Will post abt it within a few days.

This time it was mild earth quake..but the 2001 earthquake was really rocking.. I was sleeping at the time and during the earthquake I woke up, went downstairs, went out of the house, went to near crossroads, watched all 10 stories buildings rocking horribly and lastly saw MANSI building collapsing infront of my eyes and than the quake stopped....very long..when i went to pick my granpa within 5 mins of quake end, i walked on the debries of MANSI, I saw a guy hanging on a wall, may be on 8th floor of remaining, people from RSS or VHP helping them. but i wasnt able to help them as i had to pick my granpa who was on 7th floor of another building. but after I saw a lady being pulled out live and i was happy!
so we are laughing on this earthquake bcos there are no casualities..u haven't seen the real one..and hope u never witness that..
ya in this quake i was calm and cool and didn't even went out of the house as it finished quickly and the tower near my house was standing tall..!!:D
but many people did not sleep whole night, thats for sure, becos they were talking and makin lots of noice around my society roads... so press/media are right that amdavad did not sleep..however i sleep quitely

Well these media ppl exaggerate a lot abt nite outs on roads...hope u were not on roads...
