Tempo shouts
The computer taskbar reads 3:21 am n i hv just completed my MANAC assignment....MANAC......Wht is tht ? Ask any engineer or for tht matter any non-commerce guy doing his mba, the shiver in his pants wud tell u the story. it is amongst the most dreaded course in the first term . fr the records, it stands for -'Management Accounting'. with a lot of accounting fundas thrown in at a hectic pace, u need to learn balance sheets, profit n loss statements n so on. so wht a normal chartered accountant has done in his 4 years, we r expected to catch up in just 3 months flat. also accompanied r a number of surprise quizzes,tests,assignments..... the list goes on.Ok the first assignment is done n now i need to move over to the economics case study. but i feel too weary n exhausted. ok.... time to go fr a break. now my dorm room is at a very strategic location. it is right opposite to the girls dorm. plzzz dont be mistaken..... i m not tht kind of guy who wud pass a lecherous stare or any lewd comment on a girl, but seeing a gud looking girl in these trying times can be a bit refreshing...:). so i just head towards my balcony.
suddenly a bunch of hooligans arrive near tht dorm . n these hooligans r none other than some of my batchmates....the 'tempo' shouts begin.... the tempo shouts r pretty standard in iima. different fr tuchhas, various sections, dorms n so on. everybdy enjoys them n they make this place more lively n happening. more abt these shouts sumwht later in the blog ...in sum other post.....hopefully.
the tempo shouts begin...the decibel level goes high... n u start seeing smiling faces. the ringleaders provoking n egging on others.... people teasing each other....n this goes on fr sumtime.... suddenly sum girls arrive in their balcony.....the decibel level goes further high.... n now the girls start assembling down, ready fr the combat ..... the environment has become more n more charged...... now both sides start the tempo shouts...... each group trying to shout down the other grp..... the decibel level reaches crescendo.... n it really becomes hot out there..... the participants start sweating...... but no side is ready to give up the battle.. n i stand there watching the show .. making most of this shrieking duel.
after 10 mins of howling n yelling, the girls realise tht its tough to beat guys in this domain...:). so they retreat back to comforts of their rooms. seeing them drawing back the guys also decide to move on. the smile on their faces ......the gleam in their eyes.....clearly indicating their feeling of victory..... the sense of achievement..... somewht similar to a guy after having conquering mount everest. the show heads fr the climax n i also head back to my seat. got to get busy with 'economics'. sleep ..... i think can wait fr sum more time..

Hey Amit how come u missed the Tempo shout. May be freshers have not started with the trend and sooner or later they will also join the bandwagon.Anyway I think you would find all the girls flocking near your dorm n shouting for your name..Best of Luck
@ freakazoid : here we dont hv concept of fresher grps n the senior grps. the whole concept is the dorm concept n dorm is a healthy mix of seniors n juniors. the whole dorm participates in these tempo shouts. so whenever we r out of the dorm we help ourself with these tempo shouts , otherwise just stand in the balcony n enjoy the show....n do ..... something ...err.... which i wud write abt in sum later post.

all u guys ....Remember the Maths exam of 3rd Sem...dudes ..we had a mast shouting that day at 4 in d night..reading this post that scene got refreshed in my memory lanes and i cdnt stop laughing
